Daylight HOurs | Seattle

encaustic and steel wire, 30"x30"

March 2013

In Seattle, we have very long days. The downside, of course, is that in the depths of the year, we have seemingly interminable nights. After a few months of these, every 2 minutes reclaimed feel like a victory. After all, that's nearly 15 minutes extra daylight per week! Daylight Hours | Seattle is here to show, that yes, there is reason to hope, and also, so that I could stop refreshing the astronomical data website for Seattle. Represented are daylight hours starting on February 4th, and ending with summer solstice.
